Not a good day for the area's women's basketball teams in first round of NCHSAA 1A State Play-offs

#14 Northwest Halifax (11-8) fell at home 63-69 to ##19 South Robeson (14-10).

#17 Southeast Halifax (15-7) fell 43-45 to #16 Perquimans (19-5).

#23 Weldon (13-7) fell 44-52 to #10 Franklin Academy (22-3)
