Church St. patrol leads to marijuana counts

A Littleton man was arrested for intent to sell 24 grams of marijuana in the Church Street area of Roanoke Rapids today.

Gary Barrett's goal is to keep fishing on the Roanoke River going beyond shad and rockfish season.

A 37-year-old Roanoke Rapids man is in stable condition after being shot in the area of Three Flags store in Weldon this evening.

Halifax Day set April 12

Halifax Day observances to commemorate the 240th anniversary of the signing of the Halifax Resolves will be held on April 12 in Halifax.
