A Littleton area man wanted on outstanding warrants in multiple jurisdictions is now wanted for crashing a stolen vehicle as he fled from law enforcement Tuesday, according to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.

Lieutenant Shane Guyant said the sheriff’s office was assisting the Roanoke Rapids Police Department in locating a vehicle that was possibly being driven by 26-year-old Kwame Robinson who is wanted on multiple warrants from the police department and the sheriff’s offices of Halifax and Northampton.

Guyant said Robinson has a history of fleeing and evading law enforcement.

Deputies learned the vehicle was in the Huckleberry Bottom Road area at Highway 158.

When deputies attempted to stop the vehicle the driver did not stop and traveled down a dirt driveway before colliding with another vehicle and a building.

Robinson and an unknown passenger were seen fleeing from the vehicle and into the woods. Deputy C. Watkins learned through investigation that Robinson was operating the vehicle, which was reported stolen from Northampton County.

He faces charges of felony fleeing to elude, felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle, altering motor vehicle identification parts, injury to real property, injury to personal property, and resisting a public officer.

Robinson had already been entered as a most wanted person on Halifax County Crimestoppers.
