The first Christmas at the Castle was held at Roanoke Rapids High School Tuesday night and featured performances by the school’s chorus and band.

Throughout the evening the RRHS Band Boosters sold hot chocolate in commemorative mugs, fresh cookies and Christmas at the Castle ornaments.

The RRHS Chorus sold commemorative T-shirts.

After performances by the chorus and band, candles in every window of the Senior Building were turned on and children had a chance to visit Santa.

The event was held in partnership with the Roanoke Rapids High School Alumni & Friends Association and the high school. It was sponsored by the Halifax County Convention and Visitors Bureau and Lowe’s Home Improvement, and the Roanoke Rapids Graded School District.
