The Weldon Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Chris Davis:

On November 19 shortly before 8 a.m., Officer H. Cross responded to the 700 block of Julian R. Allsbrook Highway on a breaking and entering call.

After meeting with the business owner, Cross discovered a flat screen TV and a 120 watt blower heater were removed from the business.

Cross identified the alleged suspect as Travis Webb, 40, of Weldon.

Cross obtained a warrant on Webb for breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods, and injury to real property.

On Thursday Webb was located by the Roanoke Rapids Police Department and served.

He received a $10,000 secured bond with a January 8 court date.

On Wednesday shortly before 2:15 pm, Cross received a call to the 200 block of East Second Street about shoplifting.

The person, Tina Marie Webb, 57, of Weldon, was still at the location and had several objects from the store in her clothing.

Webb was placed under arrest and taken before a Halifax County magistrate.

She was charged with habitual felony larceny and received a $3,000 unsecured bond with a January 8 court date.
