A boyfriend and girlfriend, along with a friend, were arrested Wednesday evening on cocaine and marijuana counts, the City County Drug Task Force reports.

A man leaving the residence in the 2000 block of Highway 158 was also cited, Captain A.M. Harris said in the statement.

The arrests of Antwan Smith, 36, his girlfriend, Hunter Peterson, 30, and their friend, Summer Hickman, 19, came after neighborhood complaints and surveillance by Agent C.A. Parker.
Harris said this morning the residence had been the target of a previous raid in which paraphernalia was found. Parker kept the investigation open, he said.
Parker applied for and was granted a search which was executed around 5 p.m.
During the search of the residence Harris said a small amount of cocaine and 21 grams of marijuana was seized, along with a shotgun, rifle and items of paraphernalia.
Lieutenant George Evans of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle driven by Jonathan Grant, 44, of Roanoke Rapids.
Grant was driving on a suspended license and marijuana was reportedly found in the vehicle.
Deputy J. Barringer cited Grant for driving while license revoked and possession of marijuana up to one-half ounce. He has an April 12 court date.
Meanwhile, as a result of the search warrant execution, Parker lodged the following charges:

Smith: Possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana paraphernalia

Peterson: Possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana paraphernalia and resisting a public officer

Hickman: Maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance

Smith received a $20,000 bond, Peterson a $5,000 bond and Hickman a $1,000 bond.
All have April 5 court dates.
