Halifax lady Vikings finish 2nd in CIC tourney

The #1 seed 1A Halifax Academy Varsity Lady Vikings wrapped up it's 2016-17 regular season with as the CIC conference Champions, but fell in the CIC Conference tournament Saturday.

The Lady Vikings fell to #1 seed 2A St. Thomas More school 42-28 Saturday in the CIC tournament at Kerr/Vance Academy.

Halifax Academy Lady Vikings 21-2 Stats:

Emerson Poole scored 7 points

Drew Rose scored 3 points

Ashton Garner scored 3 points

Jordan Strickland scored 2 points

Kate Starnes scored 4 points

Maddie Suiter scored 7 points

Margarett Hudson scored 2 points


NCISAA State Championship seeding should be announced Sunday with first round Tuesday February 14th.


Maddie Suiter and Emerson Poole earned All-Tournament team


Emerson Poole made CIC conference player of the year


Coach Rick Ruffin earned CIC Conference coach of the year


Emerson Poole. Drew Rose and Candice Smith earned All Conference and Jordan Strickland earned honorable mention All Conference!
