Men's Jackets fall in conference tourney

Durham School of the Arts men's basketball team beat Roanoke Rapids 70-66 Monday night in Durham in the first round of the 2A NCC tournament.

Roanoke Rapids Stats:

Tyjarek Simmons scored 16 points

Semaj Smith scored 12 points

Dre Terry scored 11 points

Tyraybiya Kearney scored 11 points

Zach Vincent scored 10 points

 

Post game comments from RRHS head coach Tyler Snyder, "We had 5 in double figures but couldn't pull it out. DSA came out aggressive and played like they had nothing to lose. Now we wait to see what happens to our State Playoff seed on Saturday."

Winners from each site will play each other at the highest remaining seed
