Smith signs "Letter of Intent"

Halifax Academy Senior Garrett Smith has decided to continue his golfing on the next level as a Bishop at NC Wesleyan in Rocky Mount.

With his family by his side and approximately 150 friends and classmates in the Academy's G\gym Thursday, Smith signed his official "Letter of Intent" to play golf at NC Wesleyan.

 

Smith has played golf as a Viking since the 7th grade and has earned the following awards.

Most improved 2012-2013

Most improved 2013-2014

Viking Award (MVP) 2014-2015

Viking Award (MVP) 2015-2016

Carolina Independent Conference (CIC) All Conference Team 2015

Carolina Independent Conference (CIC) All Conference Team 2016

Qualified for State 1A Playoff’s as Individual Player in spring of 2015 and 2016

Named to the NCISAA 1A All State Team 2015

 

Smith will be attending NC Wesleyan College in the Fall majoring in Business Administration.
