Goals for Hertford County were by Ashlee Weaver and Daniella Casillas.

Roanoke Rapids head coach Craig Jean post match comments, "We struggled finishing the ball tonight, especially in the first half. We had a ton of chances; a lot of 1v1 breakaways that we couldn't put in the net or kicked right to the keeper. The HC keeper had a good game again tonight. The field at Hertford Co has always given us problems in the past and that continued tonight. In the second half, we brought Kristy Price out of the goal and it immediately changed the game decidedly in our favor. Kristy Price is athletically on another level from the girls we are seeing; whether it is making 35 saves in goal or going on the field and scoring 4 goals to put the game away. We are very lucky that Abbey Acree joined the team this year. Not only has she been a dependable defender for us, but she is also is a good goal keeper with a team first attitude. She stepped up tonight and went in goal so that Kristy could play on the field and spark our offense. I continue to see improvement in our team. Angel Wright really came out aggressively in the 2nd half and played with the intensity and hustle that we are looking for. Our backs rotated a lot better as well. I liked a lot of what I saw out of our team in the 2nd half."
