The Roanoke Rapids High School Varsity Yellow Jackets Baseball team got back on the winning track Friday night at Doyle Field by beating the Franklinton Red Rams by a score of 15-0.

Colby Warren picked up the win on the mound by pitching the first 3 innings.  Jordan Collins finished the game by pitching the last 2 innings.

The Yellow Jackets had 10 different players collect hits during the game.  One of the biggest hits of the evening was a solo homerun to right centerfield by Colby Warren.

Post game comments from Jackets head coach Mark Snead, "I am really proud of how the guys bounced back after our loss to South Granville the other night.  Colby and Jordan threw really well and shut Franklinton down.  We had a really good approach at the plate tonight.  We didn't try to do to much.  Just make solid contact and it paid off.  Everyone played well and did a great job tonight."

The Yellow Jackets improve to 5-2 on the season and 3-1 in the Northern Carolina Conference.  The next game for RRHS will be on Tuesday at NCSSM.  Game time is set for 4pm.
