RRPD blotter: April 18-21, 2016

The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Chuck Hasty:

Monday April 18, 2016

At approximately 12:15 p.m., Officer Patrick Smith responded to a larceny call at Belk.

Loss prevention reported Karen Renee Dolberry, 45, of Roanoke Rapids, took items.

Smith arrested and charged Dolberry with larceny, possession of stolen goods and trespassing.

She received a $1,000 bond and May 10 court date.

At approximately 10 p.m., Officer Jamie Hardy received information on the location of Jacques Jarmine Jefferson, 26, of Roanoke Rapids, who had outstanding domestic warrants.

Officers went to a residence in the 800 block of Vance Street and took him into custody without trouble.

He was charged with assault on female and was held without opportunity for bond.

He received an April 29 court date.

Lieutenant Perry Parks, Sergeant Daniel Jenkins and Master Officer Roy Ball assisted.

Tuesday April 19, 2016

At approximately 11:30 p.m., Investigator J.K. Davis served outstanding warrants for larceny by employee on Karen Delbridge Reeves, 48, of Roanoke Rapids, after she surrendered at the police department. The charges stem from a report by a business on November 9, 2015, she took funds without authorization.

She received a $2,000 bond and June 15 court date.

At approximately 3:15 p.m., Smith responded to a larceny call at Walmart.

Loss prevention reported Steven Wayne Brooks, 18, of Roanoke Rapids, took items.

Smith arrested and charged Brooks, who received a $1,000 bond and April 29 court date, with larceny and possession of stolen goods.

Wednesday April 20, 2016

At approximately 10:45 p.m., Officer Alex Green conducted a traffic stop for a violation on Hinson Street.

Green determined Jacob Matthew Davis, 26, of Roanoke Rapids, was impaired and his license was revoked.

Green arrested and charged Davis with driving while impaired and driving while license revoked.

He received an $8,000 bond and June 10 court date.

Sergeant Mike Moseley and Master Officer Adam Salmon assisted.

Thursday April 20, 2016

At approximately 12:15 p.m., officers and the city fire department responded to a fire alarm call at the high school.

After responding units determined the call was false, school resource Officer Rex Stainback began an investigation which determined Joseph Derick Crowder, 17, of Roanoke Rapids, pulled one of the alarms.

He was arrested and charged with giving a false fire alarm and disrupting a school environment. He was released to a responsible party and has an April 29 court date.

At approximately 6:45 p.m., Officer Ryan Cross responded to a disturbance call at the skate park.

Cross encountered Trevon Quantavius Fields, 18, of Roanoke Rapids, and noticed a large bulge in his pocket he was preoccupied with.

Cross conducted a search and found a concealed BB gun in that pocket.

He charged Fields, who received a $1,000 bond and June 3 court date, with concealing a weapon.

At approximately 6:45 p.m., Master Officer Gerald Morris arrested and charged Cody Daniel Bell, 20, and Robert Gerald Bell, 26, both of Roanoke Rapids, with two counts larceny, two counts conspiracy and two counts possession of stolen goods.

These charges stem from reports on April 18 and 19 at Lowe's Home Improvement where items were taken.

Cody Bell received a $20,000 bond and Robert Bell a $4,000 bond. Both have June 3 court dates.

Green, Smith and Officer Natara Velazquez assisted.
