Roanoke Rapids police Chief Chuck Hasty said in a statement Investigator Gorton Williams, with assistance from Deputy Mike Almendarez of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office, was served with the warrants Tuesday around 7:30 a.m. at his residence at Fox Court Run. He was arrested without trouble and served three outstanding orders for arrest.
Those warrants, according to state court records, include a felony probation violation as well as breaking, entering and larceny counts, for which he is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
He was jailed on $25,000 bond and has an October 19 court date for the charges associated with the tire theft.
Meanwhile this morning, Williams and Lieutenant Charles Vaught arrested Carrillo at Lowe’s Distribution Center in Garysburg with assistance from Northampton County Sheriff’s Office Deputy William Martin. He was arrested around 7 a.m.
He was jailed on $5,000 bond and has the same court date as Simmons.
