Three busted in late morning raid

A late morning drug raid today resulted in the arrest of three people, according to the Roanoke Rapids Police Department.

Narcotics agents and special response team members arrived at 226 Madison Street to serve a search warrant based on citizen complaints and officer observation while on patrol.

They seized an undisclosed amount of marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia.


Officers look for evidence.

Based on the search warrant filed by Narcotics Agent Daniel Hundley police arrested:

 • Terry Denise Cooper, 41, of 226 Madison Street, on one count of maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance; one count simple possession of marijuana and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. She received a $4,000 bond and, as the other two arrested, has an August 14 court dates.

• Larry Williams Jr., 24, of 1032 Cedar Street, on one count of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, simple possession of marijuana and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed on $10,000 secured bond.

• Robert Lee Brickell Jr., 44, of Madison Street, on one count of maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He received a $4,000 bond.
