Police camp: Meet the therapy dog; meet the Spartans

Roanoke Rapids Police Department campers met Elle the Pit Bull and her owner Leah Brewer today at T.J. Davis.

Then they met physical challenges created by Tracy Story of SXF Spartan Xtreme Fit Training Facility in Roanoke Rapids.

Brewer told the campers about the right and wrong ways to greet dogs and let Elle perform some tricks for them.

Story took the campers outside for burpees, a relay race and tug-o-war. 

Friday is the last day of police camp and campers will be treated to a viewing of Incredibles 2 at Roanoke Cinemas.

Captain Bobby Martin said the camp has averaged 33 campers every day this week.
