The North Carolina State Highway Patrol continues to seek information on an April 2, 2017, hit and run crash which claimed the life of a Roanoke Rapids man.

Sergeant G.M. Moore said the patrol still does not have a description of the vehicle which hit Kareem Mayo, 44, a pedestrian, around 1:30 that morning.

Trooper Levern Bynum responded to the scene at Highway 48 near the Green Store outside Roanoke Rapids.

Mayo was struck by a vehicle while he was apparently in the travel lane.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Highway Patrol office at 252-536-2224 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
