Hurricane Florence is approaching the Carolinas and where it will make landfall is unsure.

It appears that even it does not hit this area the rainfall will be significant and wind damage could be heavy. These factors will dictate whether or not the Halifax/Northampton Midget football League will even try to play this weekends Junior Varsity games.  A final decision will be made as the track of Florence becomes more defined.

Games for tonight are still scheduled with one exception the Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets varsity game against the Gaston Buckeyes has been moved to Chaloner Middle school game starts at 6:00 pm.  The field at RRHS became unavailable due to a soccer game.
