Police seek leads in late night B&E

Roanoke Rapids police are looking for leads in a breaking and entering in which shots were fired late Sunday night.

The breaking and entering occurred at an upstairs apartment in the 200 block of Roanoke Avenue around 11:15 p.m.

Chief Chuck Hasty said in a statement several people shot into the apartment, kicked in the door and fired more shots.

No one was hurt and the suspects fled.

Hasty said thus far there has not been a good physical description of the suspects given nor has there been good cooperation from the victims.
