Halifax sets state of emergency for this evening

Halifax County has declared a State of Emergency that will go into effect at 6 this evening.

Roanoke Rapids paused to remember the 17th anniversary of 9-11 terrorist attacks this morning at Centennial Park.

RRPD seeks info on Walmart larceny

The Roanoke Rapids Police Department is investigating a larceny in which suspects stole household items from Walmart valued around $115 on March 11.
