Glen Ryland will spend at least 17 years in prison after he pled guilty to second-degree murder today in a traffic crash which claimed the life of a 17-year-old Virginia girl last year.
Wade Carter III was assigned a July 18 probable cause hearing date in Halifax County District Court today for a series of crimes which include three sexual assaults.

Halifax County commissioners today unanimously approved a $43,238,988 budget for the upcoming fiscal year which includes a 1-cent tax decrease.
