A celebration of Life will be held by and for Cheryl's friends on Saturday March 29 at 2pm, South Rosemary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 1837 Roanoke Avenue, Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Cheryl Goodman, 66, formerly of Roanoke Rapids, passed away due to complications of diabetes on December 30, 2024. Cheryl was a graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School, class of 1977, active in sports, she played ladies Softball and Basketball. Cheryl served in the US Army and the US Air Force before entering into private practice as a Physicians Assistant with Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. While a Riverside FL resident, she loved all things Tampa Bay (The Bucc's, The Ray's, The Lightning, The Hard Rock) as she claimed Tampa as home. Her greatest Love, her son Braden Shelby Wingate, passed away in April 2017 and is buried in Roanoke Rapids. She mourned his death until her passing. Mother and son together again.
