A memorial service will be held on June 11, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. for Jan Murray at All Saints Episcopal Church., 700 Roanoke Avenue, Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Janet Elaine Murray, age 69, formerly of Roanoke Rapids, died Saturday, March 5, 2022.

Graveside service were Wednesday, March 9, at 3:00 P.M. by Father Joseph “Sonny” Browne at Queen Anne Cemetery in Fountain. The family received friends following the service at the graveside.

Miss Murray was a member of the All Saints Episcopal Church, a former teacher and coach in the Weldon City Schools and she was an avid sports lover. She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Estelle Langley Murray; and her aunt Alice Langley who was mother to her at an early age.

She is survived by her sister, Edna Starling and husband, Joe of Wilson; cousins, Faith Langley and her son Chris, Joey Exum, Betty James, and Jean Bridgers; good friend, Keith Hill, and her cat, Lucy.
