Wakefield VA - died peacefully on September 27, 2018. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. C.W. “Jack” Griffin Sr.; her parents, Elmer E. Ross and Hattie Borrell Ross; two sisters, Irma Molloy, Margie Hicks, and a brother, J.D. Ross. She is survived by her brother, Wallace Edwards; two sons, Clarence Wayne Griffin, Jr. and his wife, Susan Reagan Griffin, and Ross Laine Griffin and his wife, Heather Hill Griffin; four grandchildren, Reagan Griffin, Whitney Griffin, Alexis Watkins and Allie Watkins.

Kathy Gaylor Williams

Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother ("Nanny") passed away peacefully on October 18th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. 

Kathy's boundless generosity and selflessness touched the lives of many. Known for always putting others before herself, she had an open heart and was never hesitant to give — whether it was the shirt off her back or her last bit of food. Even in passing, Kathy’s kindness continues through her gift of life as an organ donor.

Kathy treasured time with family and friends, and some of her happiest moments were spent at the beach, shopping, dining out, and creating memories with her loved ones. Her candid nature and warm personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jeffrey Williams; her daughter, Jessica Fetters, (husband Adam); her cherished grandson, Asher Fetters; and her brothers, Dennis Gaylor (wife, Susan) and Ricky Gaylor. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Janelle Gaylor; her brother, Jimmy Gaylor (wife, Pat); and her sister, Darlene Gaylor.

She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. The family will receive visitors at 119 Valley Drive Roanoke Rapids,NC 10 am - 7 pm on Saturday, October 19th.

A celebration of life will be held at New Life Church of Christ on Sunday, October 20th at 2 p.m. to honor her life and legacy.
