Kapstone flag football team

Happy Birthday Coach Weinstein

Former Roanoke Rapids High School football Coach Russell Weinstein celebrated his birthday Sunday December 1st, but was reunited with old football players Saturday. All of these former players of Coach Weinstein played for the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill (UNC). Senior Kareem Martin played his last college game at Kenan Stadium, Freshman Naziar Jones and Sophmore J.J. Paterson. Says a lot about Coach with three former players at UNC and Martin sure to see the NFL.

Nude photo-posting lands woman in trouble

An Enfield woman has been charged with allegedly posting nude photos of the complaining victim on Facebook, according to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – ACC division winners Florida State and Duke lead the 2013 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Football Team, as announced Monday by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association (ACSMA).

Manning, WHS design fees remain on hold

Weldon City Schools and the Roanoke Rapids Graded School School District will continue to wait for an answer on whether they can spend money on design fees after Halifax County commissioners today approved a watered down motion that was called a vote of confidence on plans the two districts have for school improvement.
