Upgrade under way to prevent 911 crash

Halifax County in a press release today explained the circumstances that knocked out telephone service, including the 911 system.

The Roanoke Rapids Police Department will be consulting with the Halifax County District Attorney's Office to determine whether further charges will be filed against a woman who struck a man as he rode his scooter on Tenth Street in June.
