On Saturday the Rewritten Story Foundation, Discount Automotive and Tire and Sonic will be teaming up with local law enforcement agencies for Operation Sonic for Santa.

Time of the event is from 11 a.m. from 4 p.m. and Sonic will be offering a complimentary full combo in exchange for a new, unwrapped toy.

Deputies and officers will be on site to collect the toys and hand out certificates for the combos.

As an added incentive Sonic will be giving a special gift to every 50th and 100th guest that day while Discount Automotive and Tire will be handing out random certificates for complementary full service oil changes to those who donate.

Those who are unsure of what to buy may donate money and gift cards. Funds will be used to buy food and other needed items to deliver along with the toys.

The organizers are also asking people to donate items for teens such as body wash kits, cologne, nail polish, skate boards, purses, wallets, hats, socks and backpacks.

“We are pulling out all the stops to make sure no child goes without a toy this Christmas,” the organization said. “Thank you to Andrea Jordan and her team at Sonic for teaming up for this special event and thank you to our local law enforcement agencies for their continued work to serve and protect our great communities.”
