A recount of votes in the House District 27 race in Halifax County today showed no changes, elections Director Kristin Scott confirmed this evening.

This makes the second county where incumbent Michael Wray requested a recount. In Northampton County Thursday the results were unchanged. 

Warren County will hold its recount Monday, one which was also requested by Wray, who lost to challenger Rodney Pierce in the March 5 primary.

Going into Monday’s Warren County recount Pierce holds a 34-vote district-wide over Wray.

“I want to express gratitude to all of the respective boards of elections, their directors and staff in House District 27’s three counties for their work in these recounts,” Pierce said this evening.
