William Timothy Bratton, 62, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Monday, July 24, 2023 doing what he loved, working on a motorcycle. 

Tim was born March 1, 1961 to Mary Kimbro Bratton and Raymond Bratton in Reidsville, NC. Known affectionately as a husband, father, father-in-law, son, brother and friend, his favorite title came in the last couple of years as his twin grandchildren called him “Hops.” 

Tim was a graduate of the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and spent many years faithfully serving the greater Roanoke Rapids community at Drugco Discount Pharmacy. 

The last few years in semi-retirement, he was happier than ever, working with Brook and Chantel McCabe at Brook’s Cycle Service tinkering on motorcycles daily.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Cross Bratton; son, Will Bratton and wife, Sara of Dunn, NC; daughter, Emily Bratton Woo and husband, Patrick of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Elizabeth Grace and Michael Timothy Bratton; mother, Mary Kimbro Bratton, brother, Randy Bratton; mother-in-law, Gayle Cross; sister-in-law, Pam Price and husband, George; nephew, Rob Deans and fiancé, Amanda Savarese; and close friend, Jeane Newsome.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday July 29, 2023 at Rosemary United Methodist Church with Rev. Keith Sexton officiating.

Interment will be private at Crestview Memorial Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The family will receive friends after the service in the Church fellowship hall.
