A man already awaiting a court date on previous robbery charges faces new charges stemming from a robbery earlier this month.

Detective D.C. Dickens of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office is seeking information on the whereabouts of Kenyatta Raphael Williams, 35, of Roanoke Rapids.

Dickens said Williams tends to frequent the area of Highway 48 around P&J as well as the Southgate community of Roanoke Rapids.

Williams is wanted for common law robbery stemming from a report taken on August 2 sometime between the hours of noon and 2 p.m.

The victim was robbed while in the parking lot of the Village Grocery at the intersection of Smith Church Road and Highway 48.

Williams is scheduled to appear in court on the previous robbery charges next month.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the sheriff's office at 252-583-8201 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
