Tools in the pocket: Police seek info on larceny

A man stuffed 12 sets of hand tools into his pockets and fled Lowe's Home Improvement before he could be caught, according to the Roanoke Rapids Police Department.

The theft occurred around 2 p.m. Monday.

Lieutenant C.L. Vaught reported, according to investigation by Investigator Jeff Davis, a witness saw the man stuffing the tools into his pants pocket.

He fled the store off Julian R. Allsbrook Highway in a silver Jeep Cherokee.
