At approximately 4 p.m., Officer Joey Spragins responded to a larceny call at Walmart.

Loss prevention told Spragins Holly Alicia Suggs, 36, of Roanoke Rapids, allegedly tried to leave the store without paying for several items.

Spragins arrested and charged Suggs with shoplifting.

She received a $1,500 bond and an October 2 court date.

Lieutenant Charles Burnette assisted.

At approximately 1a.m., Officer Jeffrey Mason conducted a stop for a traffic violation at Second and Cedar streets.

Mason discovered the drivers license of Terrence Antoine Anderson, 25, of Norfolk, was revoked. Mason arrested and charged Anderson with driving while license revoked and also arrested the passenger, Arnold Reives Jr., 35, of Franklin, for an outstanding order for arrest.

Additionally, Mason charged Reives with resisting, delaying, obstructing an officer for giving a false name.

Anderson received a $500 bond and Reives received a $2,000 bond. They both have October 30 dates.

Master Officer Gorton Williams and Dale Strickland assisted.

At approximately 5 p.m., Officer Ryan Cross responded to investigate a larceny at Drugco.

Lyndsey Elizabeth Mathis, 30, of Nashville, allegedly took items from the store without paying.

Burnette, Master Officer Gerald Morris and Officer Patrick Smith located Mathis near Fifth and Jackson streets.

She was arrested on two outstanding orders for arrest and Cross charged her with larceny and possession of stolen goods.

Mathis received a $2,555 bond and a November 20 court date.

At approximately 7 p.m., Strickland responded to an assault and larceny call.

The victim told Strickland they gave Dustin Travis Nowell, 26, of Roanoke Rapids, a ride.

After they stopped, Nowell allegedly grabbed the victim’s wallet and ran away.

The victim looked for Nowell and found him walking on Tenth Street where he was confronted.

Nowell pulled a knife and chased the victim.

Strickland arrested and charged Nowell with larceny and assault with a deadly weapon.

Nowell received a $1,500 bond and an October 30 court date.
