Detective Obert Wiltsie of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office said in a statement Jaques Jefferson, 26, of Roanoke Rapids, is wanted for robbery with a dangerous weapon in the case.

Jefferson was reportedly one of five people who robbed six people inside the business, taking money, cell phones and jewelry.

Jefferson, according to state Department of Public Safety records, was placed on three years of supervised probation in August.

The sheriff's office continues to investigate the case in an effort to determine the identities of the others involved, Wiltsie said.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the sheriff’s office at 252-583-8201 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
