Kiiriq Collins and Davonta Belfield, both 19, were arrested January 12, and charged with felony possession of a stolen firearm.
The charges filed against them by the sheriff's office are part of a bigger investigation being conducted by the Rich Square Police Department, Captain M.D. DeLoatch Sr. said this afternoon.
They had initial court dates after their arrest and are scheduled to appear in court again Thursday.
“The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office will continue to investigate and bring those to justice that prey upon our law abiding citizens,” Sheriff Jack Smith said in a statement. “I would like to thank the Rich Square Police Department for their assistance as well members of the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office. I would like to thank Lieutenant C. Williams for his diligent effort in this case.”
