The Meherrin River Arts Council opened their 2016 concert series at the Emporia Greensville Performing Arts Complex in Emporia Virginia Saturday night February 6th.

The first of four concert in the 38th season was sold out with six time Grammy winner Ronnie Milsap hitting the stage. With 40 #1 hits, six Grammy® Awards and a dozen CMA Awards including Entertainer of the Year and four turns at Male Vocalist of the Year, Ronnie Milsap is a true legend.

Nineteen years old rising Country singer Kasey Tyndall from Eastern NC opened the night with several of her songs and closed with her first upcoming released song "Remember My Name".

The 73 year old Ronnie Milsap took to the stage next and thrilled the crowd with numerous melodies and his songs throughout his career. Not a person was seated when Milsap thanked the Military and policeman for their service and Thanked GOD for everything and sand the song "America the Beautiful".

Tickets are still available for the three remaining concerts (All-4-One February 27th, Winter Dance Party March 26th, Leann Rimes April 16th) at MRAC  box office 434-634-6001.
