At approximately 8 a.m., Sergeant Daniel Jenkins responded to a hit and run at East Tenth Street and Becker Drive.
Officers located the vehicle which left the scene on Riverview Court.
The driver, Fidel Angel Crespo Gonzalez, 45, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with driving while impaired, no operators license and hit and run.
He received a $1,000 bond and April 11 court date.
Lieutenant Perry Parks, Master Officer Roy Ball and Officer Jamie Hardy assisted.
At approximately 9 p.m., Officer Jason Williams responded to a call of a person begging for money at Hampton Inn.
Williams located Eugene Lee High, 53, of Roanoke Rapids, who was not allowed on the premises, on the property.
Williams cited High, who was released until his May 9 court date, for trespassing
Officer Chris Biggerstaff assisted.
