Detective B.C. Griffin of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office would only say this evening the images were of a sexually explicit and graphic nature.
He declined comment on how many photos were sent and the relationship between the alleged defendants and the child.

Griffin Monday arrested Gregory Earl Avent, 51, and Erin Landen Ezzell, 29, after investigation of a report from a parent their child received an unsolicited, pornographic image on their phone.
Griffin said Avent and Ezzell are acquainted. He would not discuss the motive.
The pair were charged with disseminating obscenity to a minor under 13, felony disseminating obscenity, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and felony conspiracy.
Avent and Ezzell both received bonds of $25,000 and have April 19 court dates.
The case remains under investigation, Griffin said.
