Lisa Christenbury Heating & Cooling got off to a sluggish start against Creekside Animal Hospital. The offense scored zero runs in the top of the first. The defense gave up three runs to the top three batters in the lineup. Ricky Lee pulled it together striking out the fourth batter. The fifth batter got on base. There was an error on a throw when he was stealing second from the catcher to second base which still resulted in an out due to the backup response of center fielder Trey Dixon making a quick recovery of the ball and perfect throw to Andre Stewart for the tag out at third base. Ricky Lee struck out batter number six holding the score 3-0 in the bottom of the first. The offense still came up short in the top of the second. Grayson Hargrave relieved Ricky Lee as pitcher in the bottom of the second. He shut down the inning with three back to back strikeouts. Ryan Barnes scored the first run of the game for Lisa Christenbury Heating & Cooling in the top of the third. Grayson Hargrave came back in the bottom of the third with an out at first and two more strikeouts. After a pep talk and game plan from team leader Harrison West the offense took the lead 4-3 with hits from Grayson Hargrave and Ricky Lee. The defense led again by Grayson Hargrave held Creekside Animal Hospital to two runs with three more strikeouts in the bottom of the fourth putting them down 5-4. The team, led off by Harrison West scoring the game tying run, had a two out rally with Grayson Hargrave hitting a Home Run. Trey Dixon and Ricky Lee also got hits in the top of the fifth resulting in the maximum of 5 runs putting Lisa Christenbury Heating & Cooling in the lead 9-5. Chase Nelson, pitching for the first time, was outstanding closing the game with two strikeouts against a total of three batters faced. Ricky Lee, catcher, threw the ball to Andre Stewart who made the game winning third out with a tag on the runner attempting to steal third base. The entire "TEAM" stayed in the game with the encouragement of Harrison West to " Never Give Up". They fought back by playing hard and all contributing to the comeback win 9-5. Spotlight Player: The Team!

 

Creekside Animal Hospital's starting pitcher Bryson Eure took control of the game by putting out the first batter-runner at first base and striking the next two batters in the top of the first inning. The offense maintained control of the game with aggressive base stealing for three quick runs putting them in the lead 3-0 in the bottom of the first. Bryson Eure held Lisa Christenbury Heating & Cooling to zero runs in the top of the second with two strikeouts and a caught line drive. The offense failed to score in the bottom of the second but held the lead 3-0. The defense held Lisa Christenbury Heating & Cooling to one run in the top of the third by putting out a runner attempting to steal at home plate. Bryson Eure finished the inning with two strikeouts maintaining the lead 3-1. The offense came up short in the bottom of the third. The defense gave up three runs in the top of the fourth. The offense came back at bat with determination and a lead off hit and game tying run from Jeffrey Harrison. Bryson Eure scored another run putting Creekside Animal Hospital back in the lead 5-4 in the bottom of the fourth. Pitcher, Landen Wollett got two strikeouts in the top of the fifth, but the defense let the lead slip away. The offense struggled in the bottom of the fifth, but the team played hard to the end.
