The Roanoke Valley U15's will have to wait again to play ball

In the bottom of the third inning in the first Championship game Roanoke Valley is leadding 4-0 against Perquimans. Perquiams home field is under water yet again. Roanoke valley started this nine bracket District 7 baseball all-star back last Wednesday after two teams pulled out of the tournament. The District commissioner Kieth Ward decided to leave the bracket the same, just drop those two teams out and where they would have played, the other team would get a bye.

Well the host team Perquimans knocked Roanoke Valley into the lossers bracket on  day one in eight innings by one run. This meaning to make it to the championship game, RV had to beat five of the other six teams. They did, even though it took six days to do it. Being Perquimans beat them the first time, RV would have to been them twice.

The championship game started at 5pm today (Tuesday) and with rains and lightning, the game has been postponed to 2pm Wednesday.
