Local softball player shines on the diamond

After coming off a successful weekend with the 8 Under Roanoke Valley Girls Softball League All-stars in the 2018 Tar Heel League State Tournament as State Champions in Shelby, Roanoke Rapids native Skyler Moore continued to swing a hot bat the following weekend playing for Clayton based travel softball team the Cleveland Angel's.

Moore hit a double as well as a walk off homerun in the"Top-Gun National Championships" in Snow Hill earning the defensive player of the game by turning a triple play.

In the 2018 Tar Heel League State tournament, Moore hit five for six, leading the team in RBI's with a single, double, triple, and two homeruns.
