Brandon Clay named RRHS JV baseball coach

rrpin.com has learned and confirmed by Roanoke Rapids High School officials that the six year veteran Chaloner Middle School baseball coach, Brandon Clay has stepped down and has been named the Roanoke Rapids High School JV baseball head coach.

Clay who will remain teaching at Chaloner but will be just moving up to the high school with his rising freshmen. Clay has 13 of his 2012-13 Chaloner players rising to be freshmen at the high school as well. Clay leaves behind six season conference championships and six Halifax Academy Easter Tournament championships as baseball coach at Chaloner Middle.

“I am Excited for the step up in competition and getting to teach some advance skills to young players,” said Clay.

RRHS varsity coach Mark Snead stated, “I am excited to be working with Clay in our baseball program, Clay brings a lot of baseball experience and help to the kids and the High school program.”
