A Virginia man has been charged on motor vehicle breaking and entering counts, according to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office.

In a statement, Detective Chris Scott said James Kevin Taylor, 26, of Emporia, was charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larceny, and possession of stolen property.

The charges are based on an investigation that began in August and involved Taylor allegedly taking property from a vehicle at an undisclosed business within Halifax County.

Taylor was arrested last week and is awaiting a November 13 court.

Further information was not immediately available.
