Tonight the new dogs were introduced to city council by Chief Thomas Hathaway and their respective handlers.

Officer Gerald Morris introduced Back, a lab, and Sergeant Daniel Jenkins introduced Po-Cock, a Czechoslovakian shepherd.

Hathaway also announced that Andy Jackson was promoted to captain of the uniformed division while O.L. Morgan was promoted to captain of criminal investigations. Andy Bryant was promoted to administrative lieutenant.

In other police-related news, Hathaway announced Patrick Smith, Nathan Coles and Courtney Williams were hired as new officers.
