GCP beats Roanoke Rapids Hornets in Gaston 2-0 moving the Hornets out of second and into third in the regular season standings.  KK Squire recovered a fumble in the end zone for a 2 point safety, giving GCP the only points scored in the game.

All the GCP teammates thoughts were with #30 Steven DeLao who just before half was injured and transported to the local hospital. Head coach David Cieslinski later reported to rrspin that DeLao was being flown by helicopter to Greenville for a possible dislocated hip but due to the weather conditions DeLao was transported by rescue squad. Cieslinski said, "DeLao was in thoughts and wishing him a speedy recovery.
