Mr. Floyd was born February 13, 1938 in Halifax County to the late E.M. and Volinia C. Floyd.
Mr. Floyd worked for J.P. Stevens and later Bibb Company. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Wanda “Beckie” Landrum; his brother, R.T. Floyd; and two sisters, Lula Williams and Christine Elliott.
Mr. Floyd is survived by two brothers, Wilbur Floyd and wife Ruby; and Richard Floyd and wife Shirley. Three sisters, Ann Johnson; Mary Dunlow and husband Thurman; and Linda Tipton and husband Maurice. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Robert Landrum III and Ryan Landrum, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service, Friday, November 1, 2013 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. A graveside service will follow the visitation at Cedarwood Cemetery at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Fred Carraway, officiating.
