Halifax Academy Varsity girls opened the 2013-14 season on the road against Hobgood. Halifax came out on top 50-25. Leading scorers for Halifax were Kelly Williams with 18 points, Kim Shearin with 8 points, Hayley Wood had 7 points while Ryanne Hilliard had 6 points.

Hobgood leading scorers were Cassidy Robertson with 8 points, Kaleigh Barwick with 5 points and April Duke had 4 points.
