CHARLOTTE NC  – This Friday it all comes to a close as Garrett Marchant climbs into the No. 77 Keen Parts / Lone Star Car Transportation Chevy SS for his last race of 2013. Marchant will be racing in the Challenger Division of the South East Limited Late Model Series, as part of the Myrtle Beach 400 Weekend at Myrtle Beach Speedway.

Headed into this weekend, Marchant has a mathematically chance at winning the 2013 South East Limited Late Model Challenger Division Championship, only 22 points behind first place Chase Hunt.

Positions second through fourth are also only separated by eight points, including two drivers tied for third place. Marchant will be looking to get max points on Friday night by qualifying on the pole, lead the most laps, and take the checkered flag.

“I can’t believe another season is coming to a close! I want to thank everybody for coming on board this season,” Garrett Marchant driver of the No. 77 AFG Home Improvements LLC said. “Anything can happen, but we have a shot at this championship. Need a lot of luck, but mathematically we could win! A lot of progress was made at Caraway – definitely hit on something. Want to also thank Tom Elliot, my Dad, Granddaddy, Taylor Howard for working hard and helping us out this season. Going to go at it once last time in 2013!”

Marchant’s team will be having some extra team members as several dozen fans will be riding on the No. 77. These fans donated to Marchant’s racing funds throughout the season and will be receiving a special picture autographed by Garrett Marchant following this weekend’s race.
