Halifax sweeps NEA on the basketball court

All four Halifax Academy teams win at NEA

Halifax Academy JV girls basketball team advanced to a 2-0 record beating North East Academy (NEA)  27-13. Leading scorers for Halifax were Drew Rose with 10 points and Jordan Strickland with 7 points.

 

Halifax Academy JV boys also advanced to a 2-0 record by beating NEA 54-8. Leading scorer for Halifax were Garrett Smith.

 

Halifax Academy Varsity girls continued the winning streak as well by beating NEA 68-20, advancing their record to 2-0 as well. Leading scorers for Halifax were Kelly Williams with 22 points, Hayley Wood with 20 points, Kim Shearin with 10 points.

NEA leading scorers were Anna Liver with 11 , Chelsea Rose with 4 points, Madison Burch with 3 points and Mollie Cocke with 2 points.

 

Halifax Academy Varsity boys picked up their first win of the season beating NEA 54-43 and with an overall record of 1-1. Leading scorers for Halifax were Garrett Morris with 21 points, Austin Starnes with 13 points and Jacob Smith & Cody Carmichael with 6 points each.

NEA leading scorers were Christian Fleetwood with 11 points, Nathan Rowe with 10 points and Cody Hurdle with 7 points.
