The Halifax County Sheriff's Office is investigating shoplifting reports from the Dollar General on Bolling Road that involved the theft of cleaning products.

The investigation, according to Detective Obert Wiltsie, began on November 2 after approximately $40 worth of stolen merchandise was recovered outside around 7:30 p.m.

It was not clear why some of the products were left behind or how much was kept. Wiltsie this morning could not explain why cleaning products were stolen and declined to speculate on whether it could be tied to meth manufacturing.

Several images were captured of the suspects and the sheriff’s office is seeking assistance in attempting to identify three.

Another suspect.

The first suspect was a black female wearing a grey sweatshirt. The second suspect was a black male wearing an orange shirt, black jeans, and a jacket. The third suspect was a black male wearing blue jeans, white shirt, and a jacket.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the sheriff's office at 252-583-8201 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
