Roanoke Rapids varsity baseball lost to Northern Nash in Varsity Baseball by a score of 9-3.

Hunter Godwin was the leading hitter on the night with a big 3 run Home Run and a double.

Kyle Vincent on the mound.

Kyle Vincent started the game on the mound and pitched well but took the loss.  He was followed by Nick Horvath and Hunter Godwin.

"We saw some good things during the game.  Our pitchers threw well overall and Hunter Godwin had a good night at the plate.  But tonight just was not our night.  A lot of things just did not go our way.  We are a better team than we showed.  We know what we need to improve on and this group of guys is going to work hard to make sure we get better and learn from this game," said head coach Mark Snead

Shortstop Ryan Williams makes a tag at second for an out on the steal attempt.

RRHS is now 1-1 on the young season.  Our next game is a home conference match up against Franklinton next Tuesday.
