Woman sought in ID theft arrested

A woman wanted for identity theft was located and served warrants for nine counts related to the alleged crimes.

Halifax County Sheriff's Office Detective Obert Wiltsie said in a statement Latisha Northern of Littleton was jailed on $20,000 bond and has a Wednesday court date.

Wiltsie said deputies picked her over the weekend at her residence.

The nine counts stem from her allegedly using the credit card of an acquaintance to pay her cell phone bill and buy odds and ends.
